Team 32 is ready!!!!

The 13 members of Team 32 have been meeting for months, done lots of fundraisers (and we’ve raised just over $10,000 !!!!) and on Sunday the 17th we’ll head for Syracuse, where we’ll stay overnight. At o’dark 30 (4 am) we’ll check in with DELTA and lift off just after 6 am on Monday morning, and after a short stopover in Atlanta we’ll arrive in Tegucigalpa around noon their time.

Our team is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist church but the 13 members also represent: Westside United Methodist Church, Oakwood United Methodist Church, Southside Christian Missionary Alliance, Fairhaven Community Church, Fairhaven, NY, and Crossroads Family Ministries in Waverly, NY. Ranging in age from 16 to 66, we are about 50/50 guys and gals.

We will be working on a brand new school which is called The 21st of October school. It is a junior-senior high school and we are looking forward to interacting with these older students and their teachers. Our team will be pouring concrete for the second floor and then placing 4,000 concrete blocks to begin the walls.                                                                 by Mark Erway
