COMAYAGUA BIBLE PROGRAM –
After covid we had to adjust our program in Comayagua to be more study about the Bible. As we have watched children’s attendance grow to 160 plus, we have seen a desire to learn about Jesus grow as well.
Many of our children and adults, while learning about the Bible, are also memorizing from 2 to 10 verses of scripture per Saturday and that is always amazing. Each student also has a learning workbook (by grade and by reading level) so they can read various chapters of the Old and New Testament and answer questions. When we review the lessons you can tell they are reading the material. There isn’t Google for them to cheat.
When our team was here in August they were able to witness something that I couldn’t believe. While they watched as I was checking the workbooks and hearing the children recite scriptures little Francis came to me. She was cute as ever with her Sunday best dress and hat. She turned the pages of her workbook to the beginning. Then she started to quote scripture, name of book, chapter and verse. She quoted 13 scriptures from memory. The team was in shock especially when they asked me her age. I said she cannot write or read and she is only 3 years old. All Glory to God in how He is moving the hearts of our students.

After this I went into prayer asking Jesus to show me how to reach the adults and children more. How I can set seed in their hearts and minds?
Jesus gave me the idea to change the game of twister to Bible Twister.
We make two teams mixed with adults and children and spin the dial to see what color it lands on. Then the team selected to go first chooses a spot of that color and reads the question. (All the questions come from the various books they have studied from present to past years) For example: Which book of the Bible and Chapter mentions the talking Donkey? Where the Great Commission mentioned in the Bible? Etc. We stay with the same questions for a month so they can learn from the questions. At the end of the month the competition comes out of them and GAME ON!!!
In the times we live in it is necessary to impress upon the children and the adults the desire to know their Heavenly Father through the Truth. The Bible. Not doctrine or mans teachings and opinions. The results is a desire to grow in their faith. Praise Jesus!!!
