UNIVERSITY GRADUATE – November 2, 2026
by Michael Miller, Jr, Missionary, Tegucigalpa, Honduras

We are so blessed to see the growth of our youth from baby to University Graduate. Cristian Avila entered our lives when he was 11 years old being and in the care of his grandfather. His grandpa Carlos said, “I want my grandson to enter your youth group. His father does not recognize him and his mother moved to Spain. He needs Godly guidance and teaching.”
That day Cristian entered our boys youth group. He received Jesus Christ as his Savior and was baptized. He also received a sponsorship that carried him to graduation. After graduation and because of Covid we lost contact with Cristian. I was given his contact information one year later and we reconnected once again. He works alongside of us now in Comayagua on Saturdays and also joined our all men’s Bible Study 2 years ago which meets on Sunday evenings. He almost quit school but found strength through prayer which learned through the men’s bible study.

He regained focus and made it through his internship and graduated a few weeks ago. He was nervous because trying to find work in Honduras is very difficult and a person needs to know someone to help get him a job. Well Cristian didn’t know people in the field of Accounting. He was down and I said let us put our trust in the Lord and He will provide.
Well Jesus provided!! Cristian is working for Credomatic Bank as an accountant full time! I took him 5 years, lots of prayer and overcoming anxiety issues. He is now confident and still studying the Bible with us. Praise Jesus!!
