Even though our construction teams are all done for the year 2013 we still kept the project going for a little longer. After Team #24 left we were blessed by the O’Donal’s to come and stay with us in searching their hearts and searching for land for the future BBM Rehab Farm. While here, Mark and Carolyn both spent 2 days working on installing the roofing for the new kitchen priming and painting the new color for the school. Praise the Lord we had exactly enough left over roofing from the Roberto Sosa School to be used for this school. After they left I wanted to keep Marvin and Yoel busy. Here in Honduras it is very important for us to keep our workers busy. We don’t want to lose Marvin because of down time. Also Yoel has finished INFOP Technology School of Carpentry and he can’t find work. He has been sitting around for 2 months and our worry is that he will get lazy and then find trouble. This is one of the major problems in Honduras, the lack of work. Since we had the paint already purchased I sent them to keep working on painting the school so it will have a fresh and finished look. Plus they painted areas that were high, and in areas that was too dangerous for our team members. The top photo is the front view of the kitchen. Our welder was busy as well building the windows, doors and trusses for the roof. The last two photos show the new color for the school and what it looks like now. The teachers are very excited to see the paint being put on.
