Girls Youth Group Having Fun

Glenda and I want to share with you what the girls youth group has been doing. This year Glenda has a small group of 4 girls that are committed to each other and to Glenda. They received back in March teenage devotional books. The devotional is really speaking to the girls in how they can find God, learn how to talk to God, how God can forgive them, and so many more subjects that really pertain to a young teenage girls mind. As they have been meeting every Tuesday night for 3 hours they also have been selling food to fund raise for trips. They have been really working hard. Their ultimate dream is to go to Copan and see the Maya ruins and experience more of their culture. Glenda and I are really enjoying this group of girls. They have a positive attitude and a new flavor on life. We want to share some photos from their latest trip to the beach. For some it was there first time to the beach and to be in a boat. Others remember when they went last year for there first time.
The girls were able to see how the rich live like this photo above. They also were able to see the borders of Nicaragua and El Salvador. It was a 10 minute ride but they had fun. Along the beach there are huts like this one that visitors can use for free. It is relaxing to sit in a hammock like me in this photo and enjoy the day. The cool thing is that missionary work can be fun! The girls love to bury each other in the sand.
While on our travels the girls had to use the rest room and we stopped at a road side restaurant that had a zoo. The girls took a tour and saw many wild animals that are from Honduras. You normally can’t see these animals on your own because they are rare and endangered.
One thing the girls want to say to all of you back home is thank you for allowing them to be able to see and experience trips like these. They are very thankful and feel blessed by all of you.
