I’m sure many of you were wondering if the Santa Margarita School is sitting still and or are we keeping Pastor Giron and Juan de Dios busy. We want to catch all of you up with the work progress they with Ben and my dad have been doing this year. Top photo shows a new retaining wall that was built with the newly finished replacement tiles that go around the columns that support the 2nd floor classrooms. In the 2nd photo shows that we filled in this area and put a French drain to move the water and topped it off with #2 stone so it would not become a muddy mess with the rainy season. In the 3rd photo we tore the roof off the guard’s house and put in new steel and poured the floor so it can support the donated water tank. The tank is connected to the street water line and will fill automatically so the kitchen will always have water to cook and clean with.  The 4th photo is a new set of steps to the lower classrooms so the children can safely get to class.

#5 newly plastered and painted

#5

#6 brand new kitchen

The bottom left photo is a newly plastered wall and my dad finished it by priming and painting it while he was here during the month of February. And the last is the kitchen photo. The kitchen was missing the serving counter, tile for the sink and plumbing connections. Pastor Giron finished this up and our crew painted and scrubbed it down so it is already for lunch service. God is good by providing funds and volunteers to help keep these projects going and the school has been transformed completely.
