One Man’s Dream is to Have a Place Called HOME

This is Pedro and he has MS. The same disease my mom had. How we got in contact with Pedro is interesting. Our brother Dale Cleveland made a friendship with Pedro through Facebook and was practicing his Spanish with Pedro and a friendship blossomed. Pedro was evicted from his previous home and needed a place to stay. So a sister in the faith offered a piece of her land so Pedro could build a bedroom, bathroom and an area for him to teach English classes to all those in the community so he can earn money to purchase food and pay bills. His physical therapy is all donated by Teleton Honduras. Dale contacted us and asked it we could help by painting his home inside and out. So set up a meeting with Pedro in a Mall to speak with him. He is a wonderful brother in the faith and genuine. In the backdrop of this photo you can see motor scooter was altered so he can drive in the city and put his wheel chair on the back. Mobility for the disabled in Honduras is difficult.

This is what the house looked like before we arrived to paint.
