Glenda and I want to take the opportunity to update you on our work in La Paz prison. On the women’s side of the prison as seen in the top photo is continually changing. So we really can’t have a long period of time on one Bible study. Many times we will teach a devotional, or preach or teach a short Bible study so they can receive a certificate to present to the judge of some sort of rehabilitation. Glenda was able to bless these ladies with nail polish, nail clippers, and nail files. They were so happy to receive this as well as the police in the 2nd photo. We like to bless those who are incarcerated but at the same time we like to bless the police with the same blessing and a message from the word of God.

It is amazing that this month of September and during the week of the prisoner we have served in La Paz for 10 ½ years now. We started preaching in the Catholic Church until the priest asked us to leave so we got up and 45 men left with us. We continued to preach on the soccer court and then moved into a wooden room with dirt floors and at times rats running the rafters while teaching. Look at the last photo. It shows when and how churches work together in the body of Christ that they can build a building and family of believers. We have tile floors and block walls one brother claimed with joy.

Many of these men have been a part of our ministry since the beginning. Mario who was an assassin for the 18th st. gang is in the 3rd photo came to us in 2005 to have his tattoos removed. Through the painful process his skin is now clearing up and he is smiling. We handed out care package during the week of the prisoner that contained socks, tooth paste, tooth brush, vitamins, and a message from the word of God. The message is simple; Preach the Gospel and anoint those in the Holy Spirit.
