Normally we have our Baptisms in November. However when we first started the year we had 6 new young men to join our Boys Youth Group. When they joined they came to the Lord within weeks and asked if they could be baptized. While I announced there will be a Baptism in the month of March, Justin Moore one of our visiting Youth from NY in exploration in what God was leading him to do with his life asked if he could be baptized as well. I asked him if he has been baptized before and he said no. He talked this over with his family and also prayed about it. Then when it came time to take our Baptism class he joined in. This day was a very powerful and anointed day. The presence of the Holy Spirit was very prevalent. I gave a sermon while standing in the river. Then asked each boy to come forward to be baptized. Each one claimed that Jesus was Lord of their life and they gave a short testimony. I had each of them look at their mothers and the tears were flowing from their moms as they witnessed a transformation in their children. After the baptism we had another sermon and shared Holy Communion. We sang songs together while Ben our other young man from NY who is searching for his calling played the guitar. The mothers gave short testimonies in how the Lord is doing a mighty work in their children, in each boy in our youth group and how God is using Border Buddies as a beckon of light for the Barrio. This is why we love the last photo. It is exactly what our ministry is all about. Being the hands and feet and love of Jesus Christ to the lost. Alex in this photo has no support system within his family, because they don’t want Jesus to be Lord of their lives.

Please pray for our youth as they live a life changed for Jesus.
