By: Michael J Miller Jr.

Inaug 1It is hard to believe that we have 4 classrooms completed and we had the inauguration for this school on April 28th. In the top photo we were being introduced by the school as part of the formality and opening of ceremonies.

In the 2nd photo is a once in a lifetime photo. Why, because all the students are our sponsored children. I remember Director Freddy asked me how many do we have in his school and how many we have altogether. I commented God has blessed us with 150 students in his school and 270 plus sponsored children in the program.

In the 3rd photo Pastor Giron had his worship team come and lead us in music. You could feel the Holy Spirit move in this public school. After music Pastor Giron gave a devotional in comparing the ministry and the faithfulness to Noah and how he had no plans but listened to the voice of God to build exactly what was needed to handle the change that was coming for the world as the change that is coming to Honduras through Border Buddies Ministries.

We were presented with a gift for all the work that is being done in their school as seen in the 4th photo. While the ceremony was going on a mother who stood up to give thanks for the new building started to testify that her daughter has cancer and she was excited that her daughter can study in a new school. While she gave this testimony I felt led to pray for her right then. I asked the Director to stop the ceremony so we can pray. I went to the mother and asked for all the children of God present to rise and lift up their hands to pray. Every one stood up in unison and we prayed over this mother. The entire group was moved by the Holy Spirit. Can you imagine this in our public schools? An anointing going on? God can!

In the 5th and 6th photos Director Freddy gave a speech as we did as well. I challenged the school to bring Christ into their hearts and that a new series of talks will be starting soon on “I Matter”.

In the 7th and 8th photos is the dedication of the school. There is a plaque that has the Honduran and United States flag with Border Buddies in Spanish and English. Also there is a scripture; Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

We went from there to the cutting of the ribbon (9th photo) and the handing over the keys to the classrooms (10th photo) Then we welcomed all the children to their new classrooms. We began the year with tons of work before our first team arrived for 2016. We had to plaster the entire exterior, weld and install windows, doors, handrail with a roof over top and so much more. Thanks to our EC-team who came in and primed and painted the entire building so we could have this ceremony.

Thanks to all our teams from Elmira College, Penn Ave UMC, and Victory Highway that worked hard to make this happen. God knows we do all this to glorify His name. We also do it so the children of Honduras can receive a better education with better conditions. Thank you Lord for all your provisions, and your presence in this project!!!
